A white square 2 inches (5.08 cm) on the side, pierced by a rectangle, 1 1/2 inches (3.81 cm) in length and 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) in width, all on a dark blue background of the same shape with 1/8 inch (.32 cm) border; insignia to be worn with long axis vertical.
The design was arbitrarily selected to represent the Command. White, being a mixture of all colors, has been selected for the reason that Corps Area Service Commands may be composed of all arms and services.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 28 November 1941.
